Rnd 1) Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6)

Rnd 2) 2 sc in each st around (12)

Rnd 3) (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) repeat around (18)

Rnd 4) (sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) repeat around (24)

Fasten off.

Put on eyes or embroider face now. Eyes go between rnds 2 & 3, use photo as guide for mouth.

Rnds 1-4 work same as front side

Hold back & front pieces wrong sides together, front side facing with face upside down.

Rnd 1) Join with a sc in st to right of center at the bottom of the mouth, dc in same st, dc & sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, 2 dc in each of next 5 sts, hdc in next st, sl st in next 2 sts, hdc in next st, 2 dc in each of next 5 sts, hdc in next st, sc in last 3 sts.Join to 1st sc, ch 1.

Rnd 2) ( sl st, ch 1) repeat around and fasten off. Weave in end.

Tail:

Ch 50 sl st into bottom center back of heart, chain 50. Fasten off.

Pull both ends of chain through the pony bead and tie a knot in the end of each one.
