1 skein Red Heart Head’s Up Yarn, in your choice of color (Models made in Sunshine)
Size I/9 (5.50mm) crochet hook

Ch-chain
Rnd-round
Sc-single crochet
Hdc-half double crochet
Hdc2tog-half double crochet 2 stitches together
Fpdc-front post double crochet

Instructions:
Rnd 1: ch 2. Work 10 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (10 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 hdc in each st around. Join. (20 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Fpdc around next st, hdc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (20 sts)
Rnd 4: ch 1, TURN. Sc in each st around. Join. (20 sts)
Rnd 5: ch 1, TURN. *Fpdc around next post st, 2 rows below. Hdc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (20 sts)
Rnds 6-13: Continue repeating rnds 4-5, in order.
Rnd 14: (Creating thumb hole) ch 5, TURN. Skip next 5 sts. Sc in each remaining st around. Join. (15 sc+5 chs)
Rnd 15: ch 1, TURN. *Fpdc around next post st, 2 rows below. Hdc in next st*, for the next 15 sts. Hdc in each ch. Join. (20 sts)
Rnd 16: ch 1. Hdc in each st around. Join. (20 sts)
Rnd 17: ch 1. Hdc2tog. Hdc in each of the next 8 sts. Hdc2tog. Hdc in each of the next 8 sts. Join. (18 sts)
Rnd 18: ch 1. Hdc in each st around. Join. (18 sts)
Rnds 19-20: ch 1. *Fpdc around next st. Hdc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Thumb:
Rnd 1: Join yarn in any unused st of the opening in rnd 14. Hdc in each st around, including working 1 hdc in each “end” of opening. Join. (12 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Hdc2tog. Hdc in each of the next 4 sts. Hdc2tog. Hdc in each of the next 4 sts. Join. (10 sts)
Rnds 3-4:
ch 1. Hdc in each st around. Join. (10 sts)
Rnd 5: ch 1. Hdc2tog, 5 times. Join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sts of opening at end of thumb. Draw tight to close, fasten off. Weave in ends.
