Materials: Small amounts of worsted weight yarn in red, white, and blue; size H crochet hook

Rnd 1: With white, ch 4, 15 dc in 4th ch from hook: 15 dc.
Rnd 2: (Points of start): Ch 1, * working in front loops only, 2 sc in first st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, ch 1, turn; sc dec over first 2 sc, sc in next sc, sc dec over next 2 sc, ch 1, turn; double sc dec over next 3 sc. Finish off. Rejoin white with a sl st in front loop of next dc of Rnd 1; repeat from * 4 times more. Weave in all ends.
Rnd 3: Working in unused back loops of Rnd 1; join blue with a sl st in first st, ch 3, dc in same sp as joining; * 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, join. (30 dc).
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each of next 4 sts, * 2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 4 sts; rep from * around, join. (36 dc) Finish off blue.
Rnd 5: Join red with a sl st in any dc; ch 4, * dc in next dc, ch 1; rep from * around, join (36 dc and ch-1 sps). Finish off red.
Rnd 6: Join white with a sl st in any ch-1 sp; ch 4, in same sp work (trc, ch 2, 2 trc), ch 1, dc in next ch — 1 sp, ch 1, hdc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, work (sc, ch 1) in each of next 4 ch-1 sps, hdc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1; * in next ch-1 sp work (2 trc, ch-2, 2 trc), ch 1, dc in next ch — 1 sp, ch 1, hdc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, work (sc, ch 1) in each of next 4 ch-1 sps, hdc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1;; rep from * twice more, join with a sl st in top of beg. ch-4. Finish off white.
Rnd 7: Join red with a sl st in any ch-2 corner sp, ch 3, in same sp work (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc), ch 1, work (dc, ch 1) in each ch-1 sp across to next ch-2 corner sp, * in ch-2 corner sp work (3 dc, ch-2, 3 dc), ch 1, work (dc, ch 1) in each ch-1 sp across to next ch-2 corner sp; rep from * twice more, join with a sl st in top of beg ch-3. Finish off red.
Rnd 8: Join white with a sl st in any ch-2 corner sp, ch-1, * work 3 sc in corner sp, work sc in each dc and ch-1 sp across to next corner sp,; rep from * 3 times more, join with a sl st in beg ch-1. Finish off white.
Rnd 9: Join red with a sl st in 2nd sc of any 3-sc corner group, ch 1,* in same sp work (sc, ch2, sc) sc in each sc across to 2nd sc in 3-sc corner group; rep from * tree times more, join with a sl st in beg. ch-1. Finish off and weave in all ends.
