This sweater is worked seamlessly top down in the round with the RS always facing up.

The diamond stitch pattern only uses two of the most basic crochet stitches: treble crochet and chains. You will alternate two colours at a time, but use only one colour in each round. The working process is easy, yet interesting; it is fascinating to watch the colour changes and see the diamonds take shape.

The rest of the sweater is worked in treble crochet with one chain between each tr group to create the vertically oriented stripe pattern.

First 3 ch of each rnd counts as one tr throughout. Join round with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch. This pattern is worked in the round with RS always facing, do not turn. Except when starting with a new colour, work each colour into stitches of the same colour and work all new sts in front of previous sts, leaving previous sts on WS. After completing the round, PM in loop and leave yarn on RS.

Move corner markers up each rnd, pay attention to the instructions given at the beg of each rnd for the corner sts.
