Chain 6
Row 1
Dc in 4th chain from hook an next two chains, chain 6 (increase), turn
Row 2
Dc in 4th chain and in next two chains, slip stitch to space between chain and 1st dc in last row, chain 3, 3 dc in ch 3 space of first row, chain 6 turn
Row 3
Dc in 4th chain and in next two chains, slip stitch to space between chain and 1st dc in last row, chain 3, 3 dc in ch 3 space of first row, sl st to space between chain and 1st dc in next block, 3 dc in ch3 space, chain 6, turn
Row 4-18
Repeat pattern increasing each row
Row 19
Repeat pattern until end of row, do NOT chain 6, ch1 and turn
Row 20
Sl stitch in each dc and into ch3 space, chain 3, 3 dc in ch3 space, sl st to next block (like you did in the increase rows), ch 3, 3 dc, sl st to next block,..when you reach other edge of blanket, sl st to last block, ch 1 and turn
Round 21-37
Continue decreasing like in row 19

BORDER (worked in rounds)

Round 1
Turn, sc in space between blocks, chain 3, sc in chain 3 space at corner, ch 3, sc in space between blocks, continue around joining round with sl st.
Round 2
Sl st into ch 3 space, ch 2, 1 dc in ch3 sp, 2dc in next ch3 space and repeat around blanket adding a dc in the sc in the corner of the blanket. If you find it's tight add in another stitch in each one. This border can also be done with hdc.
