Using double strand throughout, ch 57, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of next 3 chs, * work [1 sc, 1 dc] in next ch, skip next ch; rpt from * 23 times, 1 sc in each of next 4 chs. Row 2—Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each of 4 sc, * skip next dc, [1 sc, 1 dc] in next sc; rpt from * 23 times, 1 sc in each of 4 sc. Rpt row 2 until 17 rows from beginning. Fasten off. Make one more piece to correspond. Lay one piece on top of the other, sew lengthwise at both sides leaving ½-inch free at one end, close opening at other end by gathering the edges together firmly. RING—Chain 1¼-inches, join into ring, 25 sc in ring, join, fasten off. Sew to closed end of Cucumber as shown. TENDRILS (Make 5)—Chain 1½-inches, slip st in 2nd ch from hook, slip st in each remaining ch, fasten off. Sew to closed end as shown. Cut padding to fit and line.
