Worsted weight cotton yarn in main color and contrasting color scrap for trim.

Done in a multiple of 6 + 2 ch.

Ch 26.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, *ch 3, sk 3 ch, sc in each of the next 3 ch, repeat from * across, end with ch 3, sc in each of the last 2 ch, ch 1 and turn.(this row is the wrong side of the piece).
Row 2: (right side) Sc in 1st sc, * 5 dc in ch 3 space, sc in center sc of sc group on previous row, repeat from * across ending with 5 dc in last ch 3 space, sc in last sc of row, ch 3 and turn.
Row 3: *Sc in each of the next 3 center dc, ch 3, repeat from * across ending with sc in each of the next 3 center dc, ch 2, sc in last st, ch 3 and turn.
Row 4: 2 dc in ch 2 space, *sc in 2nd sc, 5 dc in next ch 3 space, repeat from * across ending with sc in 2nd sc, 3 dc in next space, ch 1 and turn.
Row 5: Sc in each of the first 2 dc, *ch 3, sc in each of the next 3 center dc, repeat from * across ending with ch 3, sc in last dc, sc in last ch 1 space, ch 1 and turn.
Repeat rows 2 — 5, 4 more times omitting the last ch 1 on the last row. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Use contrasting color for trim and sc in each st around and 3 sc in corners. Fasten off and weave in ends.
