beg ch-3 will count as dc

pattern:

ch 7-10 (if your chain tends to be tight, you will need 10 stitches)
join with sl st to form ring
sl st in ring
Rnd 1: ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 3, turn, 1 dc in ea dc (including beg ch, total 4 — 3 dc + ch), turn back, (3 dc in ring, ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each dc, turn back) 7 times, join with sl st in 3rd beg ch; 8 petals, 8 spaces
