Crochet Beautiful Turkey

SUPPLIES
- Crochet hook G/4.00mm
- Yarn needle (I use Clover Chibi Bent Tip Needle Set)
- Two white buttons
- Two smaller black buttons (optional)
- Any worsted weight yarn in three colors (I used Lion Brand Heartland)

ch = chain
sc = single crochet
sc2tog = single crochet 2 together / sc decrease
sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch(es)
rep = repeat
* – * = repeat instructions between asterisks as many times as directed
PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
Turkey Face
With brown yarn, work magic ring, ch 1 to secure ring.
Round 1: Work 6 sc in magic ring, sl st to first sc to join (6 sts)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st around, sl st to first sc to join (12 sts)
Round 3: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st*, rep from * – * around (18 sts)
Round 4: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 sts*, rep from * – * around (24 sts)
Round 5: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 3 sts*, rep from * – * around (30 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Beak
With yellow yarn, ch 5.
Row 1: sc into 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn (4)
Row 2: Skip first st and sc into the next 3 sts. Ch 1, turn (3)
Row 3: Skip first st and sc into the next 2 sts. Ch 1, turn (2)
Row 4: Skip first st and sc into the next st. Ch 1, turn (1)
Finishing: sc around the edges with 2 sc in each corner.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing onto face.
Wattle
With red yarn, ch 6.
Row 1: Sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, sc in remaining st.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing onto the face.
Assembly
Sew beak and wattle onto Turkey’s face. Place 2 big white buttons for eyes and sew on face. Place 2 small black buttons for eyeballs and secure on to white button. You may also cut out circles from felt and secure using washable fabric glue. Or omit the ‘eyeballs’
