Materials
To make the Snowbunny (and its snowman) you will need:
– A Crochet hook, 2.5mm
– Yarns in your color of choice for the bunny and its accessories (I used white and red and made a pompom for the hat using white fluffy yarn) as well as for the snowman’s scarf (I used a light blue). For the snowman you will need white (duh), brown and a small amount of orange.
– A tapestry needle and scissors
– Stuffing
– Safety eyes (I used 6mm for the snowman’s eyes and buttons and 9mm for the bunny’s eyes)
– A stitch marker to help you keep track of the start of the round
Please note that you can make the Snowbunny using any size crochet hook and yarn weight for a smaller or bigger result. I like using DK as it’s most commonly available. If you make amigurumi, it is usually recommended to go down a bit from the recommended hook size for the yarn to allow for a no-hole look (we don’t want to see the stuffing show through in between stitches)! Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm crochet hook, the Snowbunny should be about 20cm tall.

Stitches & Abbreviations
The pattern is written using US crochet terms in continuous spirals. You will need to know the following kinds of stitches to make him:
– Magic Ring (MR)
– Chaning (Ch)
– Single crochet (sc)
– Decrease (dec); preferably using the invisible decrease method
– Increase (inc)
And now, let’s get started!

Assembly
Whew, what a ride! The finishing line is near! First, let’s finish the bunny’s hat. Fold the brim of the hat over and sew it into place (I attached the brim around round 5). Then, take some white yarn and embroider some snowflakes (optional). Lastly, attach the pompom to the top of the hat. Now, let’s work on the bunny. First of all sew the ears to the head, around round 5. Then, sew the body to the hat. Sew on the arms next; make sure they’re relatively far forward so the bunny can actually touch the snowman. Sew on the tail to the butt. Then, put the scarf and lastly the hat. You might need to stretch the hat a bit to make it look nice. I also highly recommend sewing the hat on; I did this on the head only (ignoring the ears) and then pushed some stuffing into the hat (through the ear gaps) to give it more volume. For the snowman, sew the head onto the body, making sure the eyes are facing front (where the buttons of the body are). Then sew on the carrot between the eyes and the arms to the sides of the body. Put the scarf around its neck and the snowman is done! Now all that’s left to do (if you want to) is to sew them together; I sewed the bunny’s right hand to the head of the snowman, but you can leave them standing individually, too.
