Materials
To make the Strawbunny you will need:
– A 2.5mm crochet hook
– Green, red and white yarn (plus yarn in your desired bunny color if you don’t want white)
– A tapestry needle and scissors
– Stuffing
– Safety eyes
– A stitch marker to help you keep track of the start of the round
Please note that you can make the Strawbunny using any size crochet hook and yarn weight for a smaller or bigger result. I like using DK as it’s most commonly available. If you make amigurumi, it is usually recommended to go down a bit from the recommended hook size for the yarn to allow for a no-hole look (we don’t want to see the stuffing show through in between stitches)! Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm crochet hook, the strawberry should be about 20cm long and 10-15cm high; the bunny should be about 15cm tall.

Assembly
For the strawberry, simply sew the green to the top of the strawberry. Then take some white yarn and embroider some seeds all over the strawberry. For the bunny, slightly fold the ears together at the bottom and sew them to the head. Then sew the head onto the body. Sew on the tail, and lastly, the arms. Before you sew on the arms, hold the arms to the body and put the bunny on the strawberry to help you see where you want to sew on the arms. Once that’s done, all that’s left is to sew the bunny to the strawberry.
