SPECIAL STITCH:
Bead Stitch: Dc in the designated st, *yo, insert hook behind the dc post from right to left, yo, pull up a loop*, repeat * to * 2 more times (7 loops on hook), yo, pull through 6 loops (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through rem 2 loops.
NOTES:
Meeting gauge is not essential for this pattern. However, I suggest that you make a swatch to see how you like the drape of the crocheted fabric.
Crochet the beginning chain loosely or go up a hook size for the chain (i.e. use a 5.5mm hook for the chain).
Ch 3 at the beginning of each row DOES count as a stitch.
Adjust the length of this scarf simply by adding or subtracting stitches to the beginning chain. Chain any even number + 2.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ch 200 + 2.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each st across (200).
Row 2: Ch 3 (count as a st), turn. Dc in the next st and in each st across (200).
Row 3: Repeat Row 2.
Rows 4: Ch 3, turn. *Bead st in next st, sk 1*, repeat * to * until 1 st rem, dc in the last st (2 dc, 99 bead st).
Rows 5-7: Repeat Row 2.
Row 8: Repeat Row 4
Rows 9-11: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
