- 4mm crochet hook
- DK weight yarn – 100g
- Darning needle

Abbreviations (US terms)
- Ch = chain
- Dc = double crochet
- Puff = yarn over, insert your hook into the space, yarn over again and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over, insert your hook into the same stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop (5 loops on hook), yarn over, insert your hook into the same stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop (7 loops on hook), yarn over, insert your hook into the same stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop (9 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through all 9 loops.
- Skip = sk
- Double crochet 2 together (decrease) = Dc2tog
- Front-post double crochet = fpdc = Yarn over, insert your hook behind and around the dc from the previous round, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over pull through last 2 loops.
Notes on the pattern
The measurements are: 7.5″ wide and 45″ long. You can work more or less rows to adjust the length.
You can use different weight yarn but it will change the width and length of the scarf.

Use first colour yarn. Ch43
Row 1 – starting in the third ch from the hook, dc2tog across the first 2 ch, dc in each of the next 18 ch, (puff, ch2, puff) in the next ch. dc in each of the next 18 ch. Dc2tog across the last 2 ch. Ch2, turn.
Row 2 – Dc2tog across the first 2 stitches, dc in the next 18 stitches, (puff, ch2, puff) in the ch2 space. Dc in the next 18 stitches, dc2tog across the last 2 stitches. Ch2, turn.
Row 3 – Dc2tog across the first 2 stitches, *fpdc in the next stitch, dc in the next stitch*. Repeat from * to * until the ch2 space, your last dc will be in the top of the puff. (Puff, ch2, puff) in the ch2 space. *Dc in the next stitch (the top of the puff from the previous round), fpdc in the next stitch*. Repeat from * to * until last 2 stitches, dc2tog across last 2 stitches. Ch2, turn.
Row 4 – Dc2tog, dc in the next 18 (puff, ch2, puff) in the ch2 space, dc in the next 18, dc2tog. Ch2, turn.
Row 5 – repeat row 3
Row 6 – repeat row 4
Row 7 – Row 100 – repeat rows 3 and 4.
