Red Heart Super Saver, 4Ply, WW. (Small amount of brown and white)Hook Size G/6-4.25MM

Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc.

Difficulty: MEDIUM

R1: Ch10, hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook. Hdc in ea rem ch across to the last ch.
(the 2sts skipped count as 1hdc)
In the last ch, work (2hdc, dc, 2hdc).
Hdc in ea unworked lp across the opposite side of the foundation ch.
In the very last unworked lp (the same ch the 1st hdc is in), work (2hdc, 1dc).
Join with a sl st in the top of the first hdc.

R2: Ch1, do not turn. Sc in the same st.
Hdc in next st.
Dc in 6sts.
Hdc in next st.
2sc in next 3sts.
Hdc in next st.
Dc in 6sts.
Hdc in next st.
2sc in next 2sts.
Sc in same st as first sc.
Join with a sl st.

Fasten off.

LACES
Using a small amount of white and a yarn needle, stitch on laces as shown in the above photo.
Note: The horizontal line is worked along the center of the foundation chain.

FINISHING
Cut two 24" lengths of yarn. Fold in half and add fringe to one end of the football.
