Crochet Boot Cuffs

Materials:
- US K (6.50 mm) crochet hook
- US G (4.25 mm) crochet hook
- Worsted weight/ size #4 yarn
- I used Michael’s Loops and Threads
- 2 colors 1.5 oz – 2.5 oz/ 89 – 148.5 yards
- Tapestry/ yarn needle
Gauge:
- K: 5.5” x 5.5” = 9 rows x 18 dcs
- G: 4.5” x 4.5” = 19 dcs x 9 rows
Terms/ stitches used:
- Ch: chain
- St: stitch
- Sc: single crochet
- Hdc: half double crochet
Notes:
- You will need to know how to work into the back third loop of the hdc.
- The ch 1 on the beginning some rows does not count as a stitch and helps to keep the seam from traveling.
- This pattern is worked in two parts, the band and the top. The band is worked back and forth and the top is worked in the round.
- The band is worked with the K hook to give it stretch and the top is worked with a G hook to keep the stitches looking neat.
Finished dimensions:
- Child small: circumference: 8.5″ – 9.5″, height: 4.25″
- Child large: circumference: 9.5″ – 10.5″, height: 4.25″
- Adult small: circumference: 11.5″ – 12.5″, height: 4.25″
- Adult medium: circumference: 12.5″ – 13.5″, height: 4.25″
- Adult large: circumference: 14.5″ – 15.5″, height: 4.25″

Sizing as follows: child small (child large, adult small, adult medium, adult large)
Band:(With K hook)
Color A: Row 1: Ch 7, sc into the second ch from the hook and across – 6 scs
Rows 2 – 34 ( 38, 46, 50, 54): Ch 1, sc across – 6 scs
Attach row 1 to row 34 ( 38, 46, 50, 54) in your preferred method of seaming.
Top:(With G hook)
Row 1: Ch 1, sc into the first row end near the seam of band and into the next 33 ( 37, 45, 49, 53) row ends, slip st into the first st to secure – 34 ( 38, 46, 50, 54) scs
Color B: Row 2: Ch 1, hdc into the same st as join and into each of the next 33 ( 37, 45, 49, 53) sts, slip st into the first hdc to secure – 34 ( 38, 46, 50, 54) hdcs
Rows 3 – 4: Ch 1, hdc into the third loop only of the same st as join and into each of the next 33 ( 37, 45, 49, 53) sts, slip st into the first st to secure – 34 ( 38, 46, 50, 54) hdcs
Color A: Row 5: Turn, ch 1, into the third loop only, slip st into first st, hdc into the next st, *slip st into the next st, hdc into the next st,* repeat from * to * 15 (17, 21, 23, 25) more times, slip st into the first st to secure – 17 (19, 23, 25, 27) hdcs
Rows 6 – 7: Turn, ch 1, slip st into first st, hdc into the next st, *slip st into the next st, hdc into the next st,* repeat from * to * 15 (17, 21, 23, 25) more times, slip st into the first st to secure – 17 (19, 23, 25, 27) hdcs
Color B: Rows 8 – 10: repeat rows 2 – 4
Row 11: ch 1, slip st into the third loop only of the first st and the next 33 ( 37, 45, 49, 53) sts, slip st into the first st – 34 ( 38, 46, 50, 54) hdcs
