Crochet Chevron Dishcloth

Materials:
Yarn: 150 total Yards of Cotton Yarn
I used the following:
Color A – Orange Color B – Brown Color C – Gold
Color D – Cream
Hook: H
Stitches:
- St – Stitch
- Sk – Skip
- Sp – Space
- Dec – Decrease
- Sl St – Slip Stitch
- Ch – Chain
- Sc- Single Crochet
- Bl – Back Loop
- Trc – Treble Crochet
Instructions:
With color A, ch 42
Row 1: Turn, dec bl sc over 2nd and 3rd ch from hook, *blsc in next 5 chs, 3 blsc in next ch, blsc in next 5 chs, sk 2 chs*, rep *to* 2 more times ending with a dec blsc over the last 2 sts instead of sk 2. = 41 sc
Rows 2-5: Ch 1, turn, dec blsc over 2 sts, *blsc in next 5 sts, 3 blsc in next st, blsc in next 5 sts, sk 2 sts*, repeat *to* 2 more times ending with a dec blsc over the last 2 sts instead of sk 2. = 41 sc
Finish off and change to color B
Rows 6-9: Ch 1, turn, dec blsc over 2 sts, *blsc in next 5 sts, 3 blsc in next st, blsc in next 5 sts, sk 2 sts*, repeat *to* 2 more times ending with a dec blsc over the last 2 sts instead of sk 2. = 41 sc
Finish off and change to color C
Rows 10-12: Ch 1, turn, dec blsc over 2 sts, *blsc in next 5 sts, 3 blsc in next st, blsc in next 5 sts, sk 2 sts*, repeat *to* 2 more times ending with a dec blsc over the last 2 sts instead of sk 2. = 41 sc
Finish off and change to color D
Rows 13 & 14: Ch 1, turn, dec blsc over 2 sts, *blsc in next 5 sts, 3 blsc in next st, blsc in next 5 sts, sk 2 sts*, repeat *to* 2 more times ending with a dec blsc over the last 2 sts instead of sk 2. = 41 sc
Finish off and change to color A
Rows 15 – 24: Ch 1, turn, dec blsc over 2 sts, *blsc in next 5 sts, 3 blsc in next st, blsc in next 5 sts, sk 2 sts*, repeat *to* 2 more times ending with a dec blsc over the last 2 sts instead of sk 2. = 41 sc
Edging
Continuing with color A and see pic below of where to place row one sts.
Round 1: Ch 1, evenly sc 25 sts down the row edges, 3 sc in 1st st of bottom row, * ch 5, Trc in valley sp, ch 5, sc in space of peak*, repeat *to* 2 more times, 2 sc in same sp as last st(corer), evenly sc 25 sts up row edges, sc in 1st st of row 21, ch 9(counts as trc and ch 5), *sc in middle st of peak, ch 5, trc in valley sp, ch 5*, repeat *to* 2 times ending in ch 1 sp where round 1 started, join with sl st = 7 trc, 12 ch 5 sps, and 61 sc
Round 2: Ch 1, turn, *sc in trc, 5 sc in ch 5 sp, sc in sc, 5 sc in ch 5 sp*, repeat *to* 2 more times, 3 sc in 6th ch of ch 9, 3 sc in remaining chs of ch 9(working down side), sc in next 27 sts, 3 sc in next st, 5 sc in next ch 5 sp, repeat *to* 2 times, sc in next trc, 5 sc in next ch 5 sp, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 27 sts, 3 sc in ch 3(up the side), 2 sc in same st as beginning sc, join withh sl sst = 144 sc
Round 3: Ch 1, turn loosely sl st in each st around and (sl st, ch 1, sl st) in each middle corner st. Join with sl st. = 4 ch 1 & 148 sl sts.
