Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Pink – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m); Grey – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 46 m)(Sugar ‘n Cream)

Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

To Change Colors

Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining lps on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Double Treble (dtr): Yo hook 3 times, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo, pull up lp, [yo, draw through 2 loops on hook] 4 times.

DISHCLOTH

Row 1: (Wrong Side) With Pink, ch 29, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [ch 3, skip next 3 ch, sc in next ch, ch 6, sc in next ch, ch 3, skip next 3 ch, sc in next ch] across. (9 sc, 6 ch-3 sps and 3 ch-6 lps)

Row 2: (Right Side) Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, [skip next (ch-3 sp, sc), 11 dc in next ch-6 lp, skip next (sc, ch-3 sp), sc in next sc] across; change to Grey.

Row 3: With Grey, ch 5 (counts as first dtr), turn, [skip next 4 dc, (dc, ch 3) in next 2 dc, dc in next dc, skip next (4 dc, sc)] twice, skip next 4 dc, (dc, ch 3) in next 2 dc, dc in next dc, skip next 4 dc, dtr in last sc.

Row 4: Ch 3, turn, skip next dc, [hdc in next ch, ch 2, skip next ch, hdc in next ch, ch 3, skip next dc, hdc in next ch, ch 2, skip next ch, hdc in next ch, skip next 2 dc] twice, hdc in next ch, ch 2, skip next ch, hdc in next ch, ch 3, skip next dc, hdc in next ch, ch 2, skip next ch, hdc in next ch, skip next dc, dc in last dtr; change color to Pink.

Row 5: With Pink, ch 3, turn, ch 3, [skip next ch-2 sp, (sc, ch 6, sc) in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, skip next ch-2 sp, dc between next 2 hdc, ch 3] twice, skip next ch-2 sp, (sc, ch 6, sc) in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, skip next (ch-2 sp, hdc), dc in last dc.

Row 6: Ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, [11 dc in next ch-6 lp, sc in next dc] across; change color to Grey.

Rows 7-14: Rep Rows 3-6 twice.

At end of Row 14, do not change color. DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Border

Rnd 1: With right side facing, ch 2 (counts as first hdc), 2 hdc in last sc worked; * working in sides of rows, hdc evenly across *; working in unused lps of starting ch, 3 hdc in first ch, [hdc in next ch] across to last ch, 3 hdc in last ch; rep from * to *; working in Row 14, 3 hdc in first sc, [hdc in next dc or sc] across; join with sl st to first hdc.

Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 3 dc in next hdc, [dc in next hdc] around, working 3 dc in each center hdc of corner 3-hdc group; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.
