Blanket is 30” x 30”.
GAUGE: 13½ sts = 4”; 8 rows = 4” in pattern stitch. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

sc2tog (sc dec): Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.
BLANKET
Ch 104.
Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 3rd ch from hook (counts as 2 dc), dc in each ch across, turn – 102 dc.
Row 2: Ch 2, Fpdc around each of next 2 dc, Bpdc around next dc, *Fpdc around each of next 3 dc, Bpdc around next dc; repeat from * to last 3 sts, Fpdc around each of next 2 dc, dc in top of turning ch, turn.
Row 3: Ch 2, dc in next 2 Fpdc, *Fpdc around next Bpdc, dc in next 3 sts; repeat from * to last 3 sts; Fpdc around next Bpdc, dc in next 2 sts, dc in top of turning ch, turn.
Row 4: Ch 2, Fpdc around each of next 2 dc, Bpdc around next Fpdc, *Fpdc around each of next 3 dc, Bpdc around next Fpdc; repeat from * to last 3 sts, Fpdc around each of next 2 sts, dc in top of turning ch, turn.

HOOD
Ch 32.

Rows 2-3: Ch 2, *Fpdc around next dc, Bpdc around next dc; repeat from * across, dc in top of turning ch, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each dc, sc in top of turning ch, turn – 30 sc.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc) across, turn – 24 sc.
Rows 7-9: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

Sew Hood in place on one corner of Blanket.
Bear Ear (make 2)
Ch 2.
Round 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Place marker for beginning of round.
Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around – 12 sc.
Round 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around – 18 sc.
Rounds 4-6: Sc in each sc around.
Round 7: (Sc2tog) around – 9 sc.
Fasten off.
Flatten Ear. Sew one Ear on either side of Hood.
Weave in ends.
