Knitting instructions:

Jacket sizes: 38(40)42(44)46

Finished garment measurements: chest circumference — 90(100)110(120)130 cm, length — 82(84)84(86)86 cm, inner sleeve length — 32(32)32(32)32 cm.

Materials needed:

  • Novita Teddy yarn (45% wool, 30% polyamide, 25% acrylic, 110 m/100 g) — 600(650)700(750)800 g in purple.
  • Crochet hook No. 7.

Main pattern: follow pattern 1.

Gauge: 4 x 4 blocks (repeat) = 10.5 x 9 cm.

Back and fronts: Start by crocheting a single piece of fabric. Chain 183(201)219(237)255 sts + 1 chain st for raising. 1st row — crochet 1 sc into the second chain from the hook, then crochet 1 sc in each chain across = 183(201)219(237)255 sts. Continue with the main pattern starting from the 2nd row of the pattern, repeating the 3rd and 4th rows = 61(67)73(79)85 blocks in width. When 5 blocks high, place markers at the sides so that each front gets 19(21)23(25)27 blocks, and the back gets 23(25)27(29)31 blocks.

Continue making decreases at marked places as shown on the diagram, every 4 rows — a total of 3 times on each side. Simultaneously, once 21(21)22(22)23 blocks high, begin making decreases for the neckline shaping as shown on diagram 2: decrease on both sides a total of 11(12)13(14)15 times, 1 block each. When 23(24)24(25)25 blocks high, divide the work into 3 parts and continue each part separately.

Upper back: Continue crocheting the middle 17(19)21(23)25 blocks for another 12 blocks in height. Then, crochet 1 more block in height, but in the last row for the neckline cutout, crochet 1 chain stitch between the double crochet posts in the middle 9 blocks instead of 2 chain stitches. Cut and fasten off the yarn.

Right front: Continue making decreases for the neckline slant on the right side. When 13 blocks high, cut and fasten off the yarn. There will be 4(5)6(7)8 blocks left for the shoulder.

Left front: Crochet symmetrically.

Sleeves: Join the shoulder seams with a crochet hook. Crochet the sleeve from the armhole on the outermost 13(13)13(13)13 blocks on each side in the main pattern, repeating the 3rd and 4th rows = 26(26)26(26)26 blocks. For the sleeve slants, decrease 3 blocks on both sides as shown on diagram 2 = 20(20)20(20)20 blocks. When a total of 14 blocks high, cut and fasten off the yarn.

Assembly: Lay the garment flat on a horizontal surface, moisten from the wrong side and let it dry. Perform the side seams and sleeve seams. Finish the neckline slants of the fronts and the neckline of the back as shown on diagram 2. Begin the edging from the lower edge of the front. For the ties, with the yarn doubled, chain a 120 cm long chain. Make 2 such ties and attach them to the front edges.
