Materials:

  • Limp size 10 or size 20 crochet cotton thread
  • Crochet hook size 10
  • 10” of 3/8” ribbon

Size: About 6” without ribbon

To work ttrc: Yo 4 times, insert hook in indicated st, yo and pull up a loop, (yo and pull through 2 loops on hook) 5 times.

Round 1: Ch 8, sl st in the 8th ch from hook to form loop, (ch 14, sl st in the 8th ch from hook to form loop) 11 times. Working along the other side, ch 1, skip next loop, skip next 3 unworked ch’s between loops, skip next loop, skip next 3 unworked ch’s between loops, skip next loop, skip next unworked ch, ttrc in each of the next 3 unworked ch’s between loops, (ch 9, sl st in the 8th ch from hook to form loop, ch 1, skip next unworked ch, skip next loop, skip next unworked ch, ttrc in each of the next 3 unworked ch’s) 10 times, ch 9, sl st in the 8th ch from hook to form loop, ch 14, sl st in the 8th ch from hook to form loop, ch 5; join with a sl st to the first sl st.

Round 2: Sl st into the first loop, ch 1, work 11 sc in same loop, skip next ttrc, sc in the base of the next ttrc, (11 sc in the next loop, skip next ttrc, sc in the base of the next ttrc) 10 times, (11 sc in the next loop, skip next 2 ch’s, sc in the next ch) 2 times, working along the other side, (11 sc in the next loop, skip next ttrc, sc in the next ttrc) 11 times, (11 sc in the next loop, skip next 2 ch’s, sc in the next ch) 2 times; join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Finishing: Lightly spray starch and iron the bookmark. With the right side of the bookmark facing you, weave ribbon under the center of each 3 ttrc group as shown. Trim ribbon.
