Materials Needed:
4 ply WW cotton yarn
Size «G» hook
Approx size: 11" x 11"
Make 2
Side 1
Row 1: Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch.
Row 2: Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch. Turn and sl st in ch 3 loop of first row, ch 3, 3 dc in same loop.
Row 3: Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch. Turn and sl st in ch 3 loop of row 2. Ch 3, dc in same loop, sl st in next ch 3 loop, 3 dc in same loop.
Row 4: Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch. Turn and *sl st in ch 3 loop of row 4. Ch 3, 3 dc in same loop. Repeat from * to end of row
Row 5-12: Repeat row 4. At the end of row 12, ch 1 and turn
Now you will start the decreasing
Row 13: Sl st in top of the 3 dc's, sl st in ch 3 sp, 3 dc in loop. * Sl st in next ch 3 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same loop. Repeat from * across to last ch sp, sl st in ch 3 sp, ch 1 and turn
Row 14: Sl st in top of 3 dc's, sl st in ch 3 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same loop, *sl st in next ch 3 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same loop. Repeat from * across to last ch loop. Sl st into las loop. Ch 1, turn.
Row 15-24: Repeat row 14
Row 25: Sl st in 3 dc's. Ch 1, DO NOT turn
Row 26: SC in same sp as ch 1, sc evenly around using 2 sc in corners.
Finish off and weave in ends
Side 2: Repeat side one except DO NOT finish off.
Put two sides together with wrong sides facing each other. Ch 1, sc in same sp, sk next st, (3 dc) in next st, * sk next st, sc in next st, sk next st, (3 dc) in next st. Repeat * around and join with sl st to first sc.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Would like to see more easy crochet patterns for afghans/blankets/throws. I ewally like doing the larger items.
