Materials:

  • Size H, 5.00 mm hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Medium worsted weight yarn (size 4) in orange, ivory and black

Abbreviations:

st(s)- stitch(es)

ch- chain

hk- hook

sc- single crochet

hdc- half double crochet

sl st- slip stitch

BLO- back loop only

sc2tog- single crochet two together

Pattern for all headbands:

With main color, ch 13

Row 1: Hdc in the 3rd ch from the hk and each st across, turn (11).

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in the BLO in each st across, turn (11).

Repeat row 2 until your headband measures the corresponding size:

Fold your headband in half and sl st in the BLO in each st in the other end of the headband in each st across.

Fasten off, weave in end.

Fox Ears (make 4, 2 orange, 2 white):

Ch 11

Row 1: sc in second ch from hk and each st across (10).

Row 2. sc2tog, sc next 6 sts. sc2tog (8).

Row 3: sc across (8).

Row 4: sc2tog, sc next 4 sts, sc2tog (6).

Row 5: sc across (6).

Row 6: sc2tog, sc next 2 sts, sc2tog (4).

Row 7: sc across (4).

Row 8: sc2tog twice. Fasten off.

Make 3 more ears so there are 2 in white or and 2 in orange.

Sc (with orange) the back loop of the white color (inside of ear) and the front loop of the orange (back of ear), switch to black yarn for the top 3 stitches of the ear, switch back to the orange yarn down the other side of the ear.

Sl st to join and fasten off leaving a long tail to sew ears on.

Attach to headband weaving in and out.

Fasten off, weave in ends.
