  • Size H aluminum crochet hook.
  • Yarn Needle
  • Yarn Thickness: 4mm
  • Gauge: 1 square=6"
  • Finished Size: 6" x 6"
  • Skill Level: Intermediate

Special Stitch Instructions
Work the following in the directed sp (dc, ch1, dc) («V» stitch made.) This will be referred to as a «V»st.

Instructions
With first color.
RND 1:Ch 4, join with sl st to first ch to form ring. Ch 4, (counts as 1 dc and ch 1). *dc in ring. Ch 1, repeat from * 10 times more. You should now have 12 dc around separated by 12 ch 1 sps. Fasten off first color.

RND 2: With color 2, tie yarn into one of the ch 1 sps. Work the following in this first ch 1 sp. (Ch 4, dc, ch 2, «V»st). *Work 1 dc in each of the next two ch 1 sps. Work the fol in the next ch 1 sp. («V»st, ch 2, «V»st). Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st in 3rd ch of ch4. Fasten off color 2.

RND 3: With color 3, tie yarn into one of the ch2 corner spaces. Work the following in this first ch 2 sp.(Ch 4, dc, ch 2, «V»st). *Work 1 «V»st in first sp bet «V»st in corner and next dc. Sk 2 dc, «V» in next sp bet dc and «V»st in next corner. («V»st, ch2, «V»st) in next corner ch2 sp. Repeat from * around. End with a sl st to 3rd ch of ch 4. Fasten off color 3.

RND 4: With color 4, tie yarn into one of the ch2 corner spaces. Work the following in this first ch 2 sp.(Ch 4, dc, ch 2, «V»st). *Work 1 «V»st bet each «V»st across. («V»st, ch2, «V»st) in next corner ch2 sp. Repeat from * around. End with a sl st to 3rd ch of ch 4. Fasten off color 4.

RND 5: With color 2, tie yarn into one of the ch2 corner spaces. Work the following in this first ch 2 sp.(Ch 4, dc, ch 2, «V»st). *Work 1 «V»st bet each «V»st across. («V»st, ch2, «V»st) in next corner ch2 sp. Repeat from * around. End with a sl st to 3rd ch of ch 4. Fasten off color 2.

Weave all ends into back of work.
