You will need:
5mm hook (Pony Bamboo)
50g balls of West Yorkshire Spinners Bluefaced Leicester Aran one each in Honey and Aubergine
- ch – chain
- htr – half treble
- tr – treble
- sl st – slip stitch
- st(s) – stitch(es)
- RS – right side
- WS – wrong side
Special stitches:
MB – tr5tog – treble 5 together
Size: Approximately 54cm circumference
Note: When changing colour use the new colour for the last yarn over hook of previous st.
Party Crown
Using Honey, ch54, join with sl st to first ch to form a circle.
Rnd 2: Ch2, htr in next st and each st around, join with sl st to top of first 2ch, then turn work to make bobbles on WS for Rnd 3.
Rnd 3: Change yarn to Aubergine when making bobbles. Ch2, htr in next st, 2htr, MB, (5htr, MB) eight times, 2htr, turn work once more to work on RS for Rnd 4 – 45htr, 9MB.
Rnds 4 & 5: Ch2, htr in next st and each st around, join with sl st to top of first 2ch – 54htr.
Rnd 6: Miss 2sts, * (4tr, 2ch, 4tr) in next st, miss 2sts, sl st in next st, rep from * till end and nine points made.
