You will need:
- Worsted weight yarn in tan/skin tone, white, brown, gold (Sample made with Red Heart Super Saver in Soft White, Loops & Threads Impeccable in Almond, Walnut, and Gold)
- G crochet hook (4/4.25 mm)
- black and pink embroidery floss and needle
- stuffing
- yarn needle

- scissors
Instructions:
The baby is made beginning with a magic ring and worked in the round throughout. The swaddle begins with a magic ring, but partway through you will switch to working back and forth in rows. The manger and hay both begin working back and forth in rows for the base, and then you switch to rounds as you make the sides.
Baby
Make 1 starting with tan/skin tone, and switching to white where indicated, beginning with magic ring
Round 1: in mr, ch 1, 6 sc (6 sc)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12 sc)
Rounds 3-4: 1 sc in each st (12 sc)
Begin stuffing and continue stuffing as you work
Round 5: sc2tog around (6 sc)
Switch to white yarn
Round 6: 2 sc in each st (12 sc)
Rounds 7-9: 1 sc in each st (12 sc)
Round 10: sc2tog around (6 sc)
Finish off, weave in ends
Embroider 2 sleepy eyes and a little mouth on the face
Swaddle
Make 1 in white, beginning with magic ring and switching to rows where indicated
Round 1: in mr, ch 1, 6 sc (6 sc)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st (12 sc)
Round 3: [2 sc in first st, 1 sc in next st] repeat around (18 sc)

From here on you will work back and forth in rows

Place the baby in the swaddle with the head in the beginning rounds, weave through the last 7 sts to cinch the bottom closed, wrap the edges across the front overlapping slightly and stitch together. You can stitch it to the baby or just stitch the swaddle layers and then the baby can come out.
Manger
Make 1 in brown, beginning with rows and switching to rounds where indicated

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch to the end (14 sc)
Rows 2-8: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in each st (14 sc)
continue working in rounds from this point on
Round 9: ch 1, turn 90 degrees so you are working down the side of the rows, 1 sc in the side of each rows (8), 1 sc in each stitch across the bottom of the rectangle (14), 1 sc in each stitch along 2nd side (8), 1 sc in each st across the top (14) (44 sc)
Rounds 10-11: 1 sc in each st (44 sc)
Finish off and weave in ends
Hay
Make 1 in gold, beginning with rows and switching to rounds where indicated
