Supplies:

  • 4 Colors Worsted Weight Yarn of your choice (medium 4 yarn)
  • Clover Hook Size I 5.5mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry Needle

US Crochet Terms:

  • MC — Magic Circle
  • SL ST — Slip Stitch
  • CH — Chain
  • SC — Single Crochet
  • DC — Double Crochet
  • TRC — Triple Crochet
  • TRC2TOG- Triple Crochet 2 together
  • TRC3TOG — Triple Crochet 3 together

Round 1:

Use the color of yarn you would like to use for the center of the daisy.

  • Create a MC and CH 1
  • DC 12 times into MC
  • SL ST into top of first DC

Round 2:

  • CH 2
  • 2 DC into top of each DC from round 1 (24 DC total)
  • SL ST into top of first DC
  • CH 1, fasten off, this completes the center of the daisy

Round 3:

Use the color of yarn you would like to use for the petals of the daisy.

  • Into the top of any DC from round 3 attach new color. Pull up a loop with new color, CH 1, go back into the same space and place 1 SC
  • CH 2
  • TRC2TOG into same space. (this will count as a TRC3TOG, and completes your first petal)
  • CH 3
  • *Skip next stitch, place TRC3TOG in next stitch + CH 3
  • Repeat from * until you have 12 petals
  • SL SS into top of first TRC3TOG
  • Fasten off

Round 4:

Use the color of yarn that you would like to use next

  • Attach yarn into any CH 3 space
  • CH 2 (counts as first DC) + 1DC, CH 2 + 3DC into same space (this is your first corner)
  • *into next two CH3 spaces work 3DC
  • 3DC + CH2 + 3DC into next space
  • repeat from * until you are back to your first corner
  • work 1 DC to finish corner
  • SL ST into top of CH2 space and into top of next stitch, then into the CH2 space

Rounds 5 on:

  • CH3 +1DC + CH2 + 3DC
