Yarn: Any 100% Cotton yarn (4 Ply)
Hook Size: 2.0 mm
Gauge: 28 st + 8 rows = 10 cm in tr ( Us)
Instructions for crochet Square Motif:
Start with ch8, sl st to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch1, 16sc into the ring.
Round 2: Ch3, (ch1, 1dc into next st) x 15, ch1,
sl st on top of starting ch3.
Round 3: sl st into subsequent ch1 sp, (ch5, sl st into next ch1 sp) x 15,
ch2, 1dc into next ch1 sp.
Round 4: ch4, 4tr into same st, (ch5, sl st into next ch5 sp, ch5, 5tr into next ch5 sp) x 7,
ch5, sl st into next ch5 sp, ch5, sl st on top of starting ch4.
Round 5: ch4, 2tr in the same st, (1tr into next st) x 3, 3tr into next st, {ch3, 3tr on top of 1st tr of the underlying set of 5tr, (1tr into next st) x 3, 3tr into next st}. Repeat pattern in {} 6 more times, ch3, sl st on top of starting ch4.
Round 6: ch4, (1tr into next st) x 6, tr2tog over next 2st, {ch7, sl st into ch3 sp, ch7, tr2tog on top of 1st 2tr of underlying set of 9tr, (1tr into next st) x 5, tr2tog over next 2st}. repeat pattern in {} 6 more times, ch7, sl st into ch3 sp, ch7, sl st on top of starting ch4.
