  • Cygnet Aran Yarn, 100 gr, 100% Acrylic, 210 m (230 yds) in color pink (A) and Grey (B)
  • Subs can be: any cotton or acrylic yarn in Aran weight – Use your stash!

  • Hook: US Size (4.5 mm)
  • Yarn Needle, Scissors, Measuring Tape

Specialty Stitches

Dc3Tog = 3 Double Crochet Stitches together

Yo, insert the hook into the first stitch, yarn over, and pull up a loop. Yarn over, and pull through 2 of the loops. You should now have 2 loops on your hook. Yo, insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over, and pull through 2 of the loops on the hook. You should now have 3 loops left on your hook. Repeat those steps one more time, You should now have 4 loops left on your hook. Yo over and pull through all 4 loops to complete the stitch.


Notes

  • This pattern is written in US terminology
  • The pattern is worked in rounds.
  • Ch1 at the beginning of each round does
  • not count as a stitch
  • Ch 3 at the beginning of the round does count as st
  • You can work this pattern with one color or multiple as you wish- I used 2 different colors
  • This pattern consists of 6 circles in different color combinations
  • You can make more circles for a longer bunting


Instructions

Make 6 identical circles- alternating colors as you wish

Ch 4, join with a SIst to form a circle or use the magic circle.

Round 1: Ch 1, dc 11 into the circle, join with Slst to 1st dc (12 st)

Round 2:INC Ch 3( counts as 1st st here and at all rounds), dc 1 in same 1st st, dc 2 in next st, and around to end of round, Slst to ch 3 (24 st).

Round 3: INC Ch 3, *dc 2 in next st, dc 1 in next, repeat from * around, Slst to ch3 ( 36 st)

Round 4: INC Ch 1, sc 1 in 1st st, sc 1 in next st, sc 2 in next st, *sc 1 in next 2 st, sc 2 in next st, repeat from * around, Slst to 1st st (48)

Round 5: Ch 3, Dc2tog in same stitch, skip 2 st, ch 3, dc3tog in next st,*skip 2 st, ch 3, dc3tog in next, repeat from * to last 2 st, skip st, ch 3 and Slst to 1st st

Round 6: Ch 1(on top of 1st ch 3+dc3tog), *sc 3 in ch 3 space, sc 1 on top of next dc3tog, repeat from * to end of the round


Finishing

Block the circles and (optional) stiffen them using starch

Chain 4, Slst to 1st chain to form a ring, continue chaining 20, Slst 1st circle to the chain, continue ch 20 and add the second circle and so on to the last circle, Ch 24 Slst to the 4th ch from hook to form the ring.

Weave in ends.
