Tools Required:

  • Four-ply cotton yarn
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • A pair of scissors
  • A needle for sewing

You can customize the flower with any color you like. Using two different colors for the petals and the center part can make the flower more vibrant and unique.

Step-by-Step Pattern:

Center of the Flower:

Create a Magic Ring:

Make a knot in the magic ring.

Half Double Crochet and Chain:

Do a half double crochet (HDC) followed by one chain (CH). Repeat this sequence 8 times all around the ring.

Close the Center:

Pull the ring tight to close the center.

Do a slip stitch (SL ST) in the first stitch to secure it.

Petals:

Join New Color:

Pick another color for the petals.

Yarn over and pull through the loop on your hook to join the new color.

Make one chain with the new color.

Hold both yarn ends tightly to secure the joint.

Create a 6 Half Double Crochet Puff Stitch:

Pull the yarn a bit long.

Insert your hook into the last chain of the center, yarn over, insert your hook, yarn over again and pull through two loops. Repeat this step until you have 13 loops on your hook.

Chain one (CH 1) to close the puff stitch. This forms a puffy stitch.

Chain and Slip Stitch:

Chain three (CH 3).

Slip stitch (SL ST) into the back bump of the chain.

Repeat this sequence three times to complete one petal.

Complete the Petals:

Repeat the entire process to create a total of 8 petals.

Finishing:

Cut and Fasten Off:

Once all the petals are complete, cut the yarn.

Fasten off using a needle to hide the leftover yarn ends.

Use Your Crochet Flower:

Your cute crochet flower is now ready. You can use it as a hair clip, keychain, bookmark clip, or any other decorative purpose.
