Finished Sizes:

  • 0-3 months- 12.5″ to fit head circ 13-15
  • 3-6 months- 14″ to fit head circ 15-17
  • 6-12 months- 15″ to fit head circ 16-19

You’ll need:

  • Worsted weight, medium 4 yarn (use any soft yarn that matches the gauge)
  • 4.5mm hook
  • Tapestry needle

Stitches /Abbreviation:

  • DC- double crochet
  • ST- stitch
  • CH- chain
  • 3DC Bobble- *yarn over, go into stitch, yarn over pull through, yarn over pull through first two loops. Repeat from *in the same stitch, two more times. Yarn over pull through all 4 loops.

Notes:

  • Sizes for 3-6 and 6-12 months are in ( )
  • Pattern is written in U.S terms
  • Ch 3 in round counts as a stitch

PATTERN

Ch 57 (69, 81). Join to 1st chain- note that this 1st chain counts as a stitch

Round 1: Ch 2, 2DC Bobble in 1st st (same chain you just joined in), *chain 2, skip 2 chains, 3DC Bobble in next ch. Repeat from * around till last 2 chains, Ch 2. Sl st in top of 1st Bobble.

Round 2: Ch 4, *3DC Bobble in Ch 2 space, ch 2. Repeat from *around till the last Ch 2 space, 2DC Bobble in last ch 2 space. Join to top of ch 2 (the 4 chain from beginning of the round).

Break yarn, weave in ends. And you’re done.
