Sew the elastic together in a circle with thread and needle. Overlap by 1/2».
Row 1: Holding the elastic in one hand and the hook and yarn in the other hand, sc around the elastic band. I worked 100 sc around the band. Sl st tog.
Rows 2: In BLO, *ch 3, sc in next st. Rep from * around. Sl st tog and fasten off. Weave in ends.
Flower:
Ch 4, sl st tog to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 (Count as beg dc) 2 dc in ring, ch 2. *3dc in ring, ch 2. Repeat from * 2 more times. Sl st to beg ch 3. (4 groups of 3dc)
Round 2: Ch 1, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sl st all in the next st. (petal) Sl st over 2 sts approximately- you will have to work around the ch 2 sp from previous row (I just made it look even). Repeat petal. You will have 7 petals total. Sl st tog. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Sew flower to headband where the headband started.
