Crochet Sweet Potato Pie Cowl

Materials:
- 3/4 ball of Wool Ease Thick and Quick (Main color/color A)
- 1/4 ball of Wool Ease Thick & Quick (Puff stitch round, color B)
- 10.0 mm crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Note: If you need to substitute yarn, look for a “6” on the yarn weight scale, super bulky, that also recommends a 9.0 mm hook. We’ll be using a 10 mm hook, but this yarn weight works great for this cowl.
Sizing:
- 6.5 Inches Tall
- 32 Inch Circumference
Instructions:
- Color A (pumpkin shown in photos, raspberry shown in video)
- Color B (cream shown in photos, blossom/light pink shown in video)
Note: Round 4 is the puff stitch round. To make a puff stitch, wrap yarn around hook and draw up a loop (3 loops on your hook), wrap yarn around hook and draw up another loop (5 loops on your hook), wrap yarn around hook and draw up a loop (7 loops on your hook). Wrap yarn around hook one more time and bring it through all 7 loops on your hook.
With color A, ch 46, join in the furthest ch from the hook with a sl st.
Round 1 (color A): Ch 3, then work a dc into each ch. Join to close round with a sl st.
Round 2 (color A): Ch 3, then work a dc into each st. Join to close round with a sl st.
Round 3 (color A): Repeat round 2
Round 4 (color B): Ch 3, then work a (puff stitch, ch 1) in each stitch. (see notes above to learn how to work this stitch or follow along with the video) Join to close round with a sl st.
Round 5 (color A): Ch 3, then work a dc into the first space. Continue around, working a dc in between each puff stitch. Join to close round with a sl st.
Round 6 (Color A): Repeat round 2
Round 7 (color A): Repeat round 2.
Fasten off and weave in and ends that remain.
