How to add bells to the top edge of the basket:

Pull a few yards from your yarn ball still connected to your project and cut the yarn. With a large needle, thread the balls onto the yarn strand. Using some stitch markers or scrap yarn mark where you want your bells to be. be sure they are as evenly spaced as possible.

Chain 1, then work a sc in each stitch around. Each time you get to a stitch marker, slide a bell all the way over as far as it will go the work the sc as you normally would. Note: the bells will be facing inward…this is what we want! When we flip the edge of the basket down after the basket is completed, they will be perfectly positioned on the outside. Close the round with a slip stitch and weave in ends that remain. Flip top edge down and its ready to use!
