Materials
Dk / weight 3 yarn I used Paintbox Simply DK in Slate Green for the background colour (276 metres per 100g) and various different colours for the animals.
4ply yarn in black and white for the eyes on the 4, 5 and 6.5”
3 and 4 mm crochet hooks

Eyes
If making small, medium and large use a 3mm hook and black 4 ply yarn.
If making extra large use dk black yarn and 4mm hook
Round 1: In a magic circle, ch1, 6 sc, slst to the first and pull tight. (6)
Fasten off with a long end for sewing, sew one white line for small, medium and large and two white lines for extra large.

Row 1: make a magic circle, ch2, 12 dc into the circle, pull tight. (12) Turn
Row 2: ch1, dc 4, [2 dc] in the next 4, dc 4. (16) Fasten off with a long end for sewing.
Using white 4ply make 3
Make a magic circle, ch1, 6 sc into the circle, slst to the first and pull tight. Fasten off with a long end for sewing.
Stalk
Using beige
Ch7, sc in the second chain from hook, sc 3, hdc 1, 5 hdc in the last chain, working along the other side, hdc 1, sc 4. Fasten off with a long end for sewing.
Large 6.5” square
Using red
Row 1: make a magic circle, ch2, 14 dc into the circle, pull tight. (14) Turn
Row 2: ch1, dc 4, [2 dc] in the next 6, dc 4. (20) Turn
Row 3: ch1, hdc all. (20) Fasten off with a long end for sewing.
Using white 4ply make 3
Make a magic circle, ch1, 6 sc into the circle, slst to the first and pull tight. Fasten off with a long end for sewing.
