Perimeter:
Turn work over so that row 2 is facing you. This is the right side. Join yarn on the bottom right corner on the first row. Work counter clockwise around the perimeter. You will be working on the ch3 spaces and the dc on the sides. Work 3 sc in each row. 7sc in loop at point. Work 3 sc in each row down the left side. Sc in first row. Ch36, slst in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to the bottom left corner. Slst in each bottom lp of row 1. Ch36. Slst in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch back to bottom right corner of kerchief. Slst to first sc on corner. Fasten off, weave ends into back of work.

The 36 chains are the ties.
