You will need;
Wool DK weight yarn in your choice of colour (3 50g balls of Wendy freedom spirt DK colour hope used in sample)
5mm crochet hook
Wool needle
Stitches and Abbreviations
Sl st –slip stitch
dc – double crochet
Tr – treble crochet
Fc – forked cluster see special stitch see instructions below.
How to work a forked cluster
*(Yarn over, insert hook into first position, yarn over, pull through loop) twice in same place. Yarn over, pull through first 4 loops on hook, repeat from * into second position, yarn over, pull through all 3 loops left on hook.
Ch 35
Row 1:Fc first position 5th ch from hook, second position 7th ch from hook, (ch2, Fc leaving one change space in-between first and second position)repeat to last ch st, ch 1, tr in last ch st. 10 forked clusters, 11 ch spaces and 1 tr
Row 2: ch 4, skip first tr, 1Fc first position in first ch sp, second position next ch sp, (ch 2, Fc first position same ch space as last st, second position next ch space) repeat to end, ch2 and tr in last ch space. 10 forked clusters, 11 ch spaces and 1 treble.
Repeat row 2 until work measures 150cm 5ft, or desired length. Fasten off and sew the ends together to form a big loop. Weave in any loose ends.
To wear twist and loop 2-3 times around the neck.
