2 black beads for eyes

yellow felt for beak

tiny amount of red for waddle

Body worked in rounds.

1. Ch 4, 11 dc in first ch. Join (12 dc)

2. Ch 3, 1 dc in same place and 2 dc in each dc around. Join (24 dc)

3. Ch 3, 1 dc in same place, (2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc) around. Join (36 dc)

4. Ch 3, 1 dc in next dc, (2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc) around. Join (48 dc)

5. Ch 3, 1 dc in next 2 dc (2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc) around. Join (60 dc). Ch 1, turn

Neck and Head worked in rows.

1. Sc in next 4 dc, ch 1, turn (4 sc))

2 — 3. Sc in next 4 sc, ch 1, turn (4 sc)

4. Sc in next sc, dec over next 2 sc, sc in last sc, ch 1, turn (3 sc)

5-6-7-8-9. Sc in next 3 sc, ch 1, turn.

10. Dec over 3 sc. Finish off.

Bring head to center of body and attach in place.

Tail

Skip 12 sc from base of neck. Attach yarn, ch 2, sl st in same place and in next dc; *(ch 10, sl st in same place and in next dc). Repeat from * to within the last 12 dc. Finish off.

Legs

Attach yarn to center of base of neck. Ch 12, *(sl st in 6th st from hook, ch 5, sl st in same place as first sl st, ch 5, slst in same place as first sl st, sl st in rem 6 ch; sl st in same place as joining.) Ch 1 and repeat from *. Finish off.

Waddle

Ch 4, 2 dc in first st, ch 3, sl st in first st. Finish and attach to head.

Beak

Cut a small diamond shape from felt and glue to head. Glue to black beads for eyes.
