Crochet Mr. Wolf Toy

What do you need?

— three colours of yarn: grey, white and blue (in my project Alize Bella no 21, 55 and 333)
— crochet hook 3 mm
— brown safety eyes 8 mm
— a bit of black yarn for nose and eyebrows
— polyester fiberfill

Amigurumi size: about 16 cm

The pattern is based on Mr. Fox pattern: the body, arms, tail and accessories are the same, only head and ears are a little different.

ch – chain

sc – single crochet
inc – increase (two sc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (one sc in two stitches)

HEAD (start with white yarn)

1: 8 sc in magic ring (8)

2: (inc) repeat 8 times (16)
3: 8 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc (18)
4: 8 sc, inc, 8 sc, inc (20)
5: 8 sc, inc, 10 sc, inc (22)
6: 8 sc, inc, 10 sc, inc (24)

7: (4 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (30), cut of the yarn

Now crochet with grey yarn, start from the strip of n the nose. Crochet in rows, reverse after each row. Start every row with a chain counted as first single crochet.

1: 3 chains, reverse
2: 1 ch, inc, 1 sc (4), reverse
3: 1 ch, inc, inc, 1 sc (6), reverse
4: 1 ch, 1 sc, inc, inc, 2 sc (8), reverse
5: 1 ch, inc, 4 sc, inc, 1 sc (10), reverse
6: 1 ch, 9 sc, reverse for the last time

Place the strip symmetrically on white part of the nose. Now start crocheting around the grey and white part both:

7: 30 sc around (30)
8: (4 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (36)
9-14: 36 sc – 6 rounds, install safety eyes on the white part of head, place them at both sides of nose strip

15: (4 sc, dec) repeat 6 times (30)
16: (3 sc, dec) repeat 6 times (24), stuff the head

17: (2 sc, dec) repeat 6 times (18)
18: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times (12), add more stuffing
19: (dec) repeat 6 times (6)

EARS (grey yarn)

1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
2: 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc (8)
3: 3 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc (10)
4: 4 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc (12)
5: 12 sc (12)
6: fold and sew with sc (6), cut off the yarn, leave a tail for sewing

LEGS (start with white yarn)

1: 8 sc in magic ring (8)
2: (inc) repeat 8 times (16)
3-4: 16 sc – 2 rounds, change yarn colour to grey
5: 16 sc
6: 14 sc, dec (15)

7: 13 sc, dec (14)
8-9: 14 sc – 2 rounds

10: 13 sc, inc (15)

11: (4 sc, inc) repeat 3 times (18)

Make two legs. Cut off the yarn in first leg, continue crocheting with yarn from the second leg. You should work around both legs now, to make a body.

BODY:

12: 36 sc around both legs (36)

15-17: 42 sc – 3 rounds
18: (5 sc, dec) repeat 6 times (36)

28: 18 sc, cut off the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing

TAIL (start with white yarn)

4-6: 24 sc – 3 rounds, change yarn colour to grey
7: 18 sc, stuff lightly

15: fold and sew with sc (6), cut off the yarn, leave a tail

ARMS (start with white yarn)

3-4: 12 sc – 2 rounds, change yarn colour to grey
5: 12 sc
6: 10 sc, dec (11)

8: 9 sc, dec (10)

19: fold and sew with sc (4), cut off the yarn, leave a tail

Sew all the the parts together, embroider black nose and eyebrows. Now you can make accessories:

HAT (blue yarn):

1: 8 sc in magic ring (8)
2: (inc) repeat 8 times (16)
3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 8 times (24)
4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 8 times (32)
5-9: 32 sc – 5 rounds
10: (3 sc, inc) repeat 8 times (40)
11: (4 sc, inc) repeat 8 times (48)
12: (5 sc, inc) repeat 8 times (56), cut off the yarn, form the hat shape.

You can fasten hat to the head or leave it removable.

TIE (blue yarn):

Crohet in rows, reverse after each row. Start every row with a chain counted as first single crochet.

1: 20 ch along
2: 1 ch, 19 sc (20), reverse
3: 1 ch, inc (3), reverse
4: 1 ch, inc, 1 sc (4), reverse
5: 1 ch, dec, 1 sc (3), reverse
6: 1 ch, 3 sc in middle chain, 1 sc (5), reverse
