Materials

  • Mighty Stitch bulky weight yarn in the colors Celestial (A) and Ash (B)
  • 6 mm hook

Stitches

  • Sl st- Slip Stitch
  • Ch- Chain
  • Sc- Single Crochet
  • Blsc- Back Loop Single Crochet
  • Flsc- Front Loop Single Crochet

Specialty Stitches 

Cqsc- Connected Quad sc: Insert hook under front loop of next st, yo, pull through loop, [insert hook under front loop of st that lies below st just worked, yo, pull through loop] 3 times, [yo, pull through first 2 loops on hook] 4 times.

Gauge

  • 7 blsc sts = 2 in
  • 7 rows = 2 in

Sizes

  • Small (US Women’s 6/7)
  • Medium (US Women’s 8/9)
  • Large (US Women’s 10/11)

Notes

Change colors on the last stitch of the current color. With the current color, insert your hook into the stitch indicated and pull up a loop (2 loops on hook), drop the working yarn, pick up the new color of yarn and pull it through both loops on the hook.

The chain 1 at the beginning of the round does not count as a stitch.

Pattern

Start with a magic ring, or Ch 4 and sl st to join and form a ring.

Round 1 (color A): Ch 1, 14 sc in ring, sl st to join. (14)

Pull on your starting tail to tighten the magic ring.

Round 2 (color B): Ch 1, 2 sc each st around, sl st to join. (28)

Rounds 3-5(color A): Ch 1, blsc each st around, sl st to join.

Round 6 (color B): Ch 1, blsc first st, cqsc in next st, *blsc next 3 sts, cqsc next st, repeat from * until the last 2 scs, blsc last 2 sts, sl st to join.

Rounds 7-9 (Color A): Repeat rounds 3-5

Round 10 (Color B): Ch 1, blsc first 3 sts, cqsc next st, *blsc next 3 sts, cqsc next st, repeat from * around, sl st to join.

Rounds 11-18: Repeat rounds 3-10

Round 19-22 (Color B): Repeat rounds 3-6, fasten off at the end of round 22.

Attach yarn Color A to the stitch before the 5th Cqsc We will begin working in rows.

Row 1(color A): Ch 1, blsc each st across, leave the last 4 sts unworked, turn. (24)

Row 2: Ch 1, flsc each st across, turn

Row 3: Ch 1, blsc each st across, fasten off.

Row 4 (Color B) Join new yarn at beginning of previous row: Ch 1, blsc first 3 sts, *cqsc next st, blsc next 3 sts, repeat from * across until 1 st remains, cqsc last st, TURN. (Change to Color A in last st and fasten off Color B)

Row 5(Color A): Ch 1, flsc each st across, turn.

Row 6: Ch 1, blsc each st across, turn.

Row 7: Repeat row 5, turn, fasten off.

Row 8 (Color B): Ch 1, blsc first st, cqsc next st, *blsc next 3 sts, cqsc next st, repeat from * across until 2 sts remain, blsc last 2 sts, turn, fasten off.

Row 9-11 (Color A): Repeat rows 5-7

Round 12 (Color B): Ch 1, blsc first 3 sts, cqsc next st, *blsc next 3 sts, cqsc next st, repeat from * across, turn. Small 6/7 fasten off

Med/ Large only

Row 13-16: Repeat rows 5-8 Medium 8/9 fasten off

Large only

Row 17-20: Repeat rows 9-12. Fasten off

Close Off Heel

Turn your slipper inside out to close off the heel. Working through both layers of the work, sl st in each st across.

Ankle

Turn your slipper right side out again and continue with the same working yarn around the foot opening of the slipper.

Round 1-2: Ch 1, sc each st around, sl st to join.
