Hook: H (5 mm) US sized crochet hook
Materials: 3.5 ounces (200+ yards) Wool or Worsted Medium Weight Yarn
I love this Wool in Dark Navy used in hat shown. (210 Yards)
Finished size: 22 inch cir and 8 inches long for adult size hat

With H hook, Ch 4 and join to form ring. Hat pattern is worked in the round without turning.

Rnd 1
Ch 2, work 13 Hdc in ring. Join with Sl St to beg Ch-2. (14)
(Ch-2 counts as first Hdc st.)
Rnd 2
Ch 2, work front post double crochet (FP Dc) around each Hdc stitch of prior round. Join with Sl St to beg Ch-2. (14)
Rnd 3
Ch 2, work 2 FP Dc around each st. Join with Sl St to beg Ch-2. (28) Do not FP DC around Ch-2 beg st.
Rnd 4
Ch 2, *work 2 FP Dc around next st and 1 FP Dc around next st*, repeat between *. Join with Sl St to beg Ch-2. (42)
