Crochet Two-color Block Stitch Baby Blanket
What a beautiful and cozy gift! A crochet two-color block stitch baby blanket is a stunning and soft keepsake that will keep baby warm and snug. The two-color block stitch pattern creates a visually appealing design that's both modern and timeless, while the soft yarn used ensures a gentle touch against baby's sensitive skin. This blanket is perfect for snuggling up on the couch, stroller rides, or as a decorative touch in baby's nursery. Plus, the simple yet elegant design makes it a great option for any new parents, regardless of their personal style.
Size: approx. 21” x 28”, but can be worked wider or longer as desired
Materials:
- 4 to 6 oz. worsted wt. yarn in Color A
- 4 to 6 oz. worsted wt. yarn in Color B
- Size I hook
- Tapestry needle for weaving in tails
Gauge: 3 dc = 1” with worsted wt. on size H hook
Notes: You can make this blanket wider by chaining a longer foundation chain, then work across for as many chains as needed to complete the repeat of pattern, leaving excess chains to trim off later when they are no longer needed.
Make blanket longer by working to desired length (a wider or longer blanket will require more yarn)
Color pattern: Pattern is worked in 2 rows Col A followed by 2 rows Col B. Do not cut yarn, but carry colors loosely up side of work until needed again.
Multicolor option: Use up your scrap yarns and change colors at the end of any row!
