Pattern Notes
- Beginning chain-3 counts as a stitch.
- This ear warmer is worked from the bottom up.

- The crochet polish star stitch is worked in a multiple of 8 +2.
- To work a gauge swatch: chain 17, edc in 4th ch from hook and across, turn, then *ch 3, edc across, turn* for a total of 6 rows.
- This stitch can be worked in one solid color or striped. These instructions are written for two colors.
- Important: This stitch pattern looks very wide and loose until stars are formed, then it will shrink quite a bit.

STEP 1. Criss cross loops from rnd 2 by inserting left loop into right loop (over the 2 sts) and then inserting loops from rnd 3 into loops from rnd 2 (straight down = NEW Left into Left, NEW Right into Right)
STEP 2. Insert loops from rnd 4 into loops from rnd 3 (Straight down) and then criss cross them by inserting right loop into left from adjacent star, (so that stars “stagger”), pull the loops from rnd 5 through loops from rnd 4 (Straight down)
