Materials:
Worsted weight yarn in 3 colors (Colors A, B and C)
Crochet Hook, Size J.
Starting at center with Color A, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, in ring make(hdc, sc, hdc and dc) 3 times; hdc, sc and hdc. Join with sl st to top of ch-3.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, make 2 dc in same stitch as joining, (hdc in next dc, sc in next sc, hdc in next hdc,3 dc in next dc) 3 times; hdc in next dc, sc in next sc, hdc in next hdc. Join as before. Break off and fasten. Attach Color B to first dc following the joining.
Rnd 3: With Color B, ch 3,make 2 dc in same place where yarn was attached, (hdc in next dc, sc in each of next 3 sts, hdc in next dc, 3 dc in next dc) 3 times; hdc in next dc, sc in each of next 3 sts, hdc in joining of previous rnd. Join.
Rnd 4: Sl st in next dc, ch 3,dc in same stitch, (in next dc make dc and hdc; hdc in next hdc, sc in each of next 3 sc, hdc in next hdc, in next dc make hdc and dc; 2 dc in next dc) 3 times; in next dc make dc and hdc; hdc in next hdc, sc in each of next 3 sc, hdc in next hdc, in joining of previous rnd make hdc and dc. Join. Break off and fasten. Attach Color A to joining.
Rnd 5: With Color A, ch 2, in same place where yarn was attached make hdc and dc; ch 1 for corner, in next dc make dc and 2 hdc; (sc in next dc, hdc in each of
next 2 hdc, dc in each of next 3 sc, hdc in each of next 2 hdc, sc in next dc, in
next dc make 2 hdc and dc; ch 1 for corner, in next dc make dc and 2 hdc)3 times; sc in next dc, hdc in each of next 2 hdc, dc in each of next 3 sc, hdc in each of next 2 hdc, sc in next dc. Join to top of ch-2. Break off and fasten.
Rnd 6: Join Color C with sl st in any ch 1 space, (ch4, dc) in ch 1 space, *dc in next 15 sts, in next ch 1 space(dc, ch1, dc). Repeat from * around.
Rnd 7: Sl St in ch 1 space, ch 3, dc in ch 1 space. *(Dc in next dc, ch 1, skip next dc) repeat ( ) across 7 times, dc in next dc. In ch 1 space (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc). Repeat from * around. End with repeating ( ) once and sl st in 3rd ch of ch 3.
Rnd 8: Sl st in next dc and ch 1 space. Ch 4, dc in ch 1 space. *dc in each dc and ch 1 space across. In corner ch 1 space do dc, ch 1, dc. Repeat from * around. End by joining with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch 4.
Rnd 9: Sl st in ch 1 space, ch 3, 2 dc in ch 1 space, 1 dc in each dc across, *3 dc in ch 1 space, 1 dc in each dc, repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of ch 3. Fasten off.
If last round does not equal 12" then add next round.
Rnd 10: (Optional extra Round) Ch 3, 3 dc in 2nd dc of 3 dc corner, dc in each dc around except for doing 3 dc in 2nd dc of each corner 3 dc set frm previous round. Join with sl st in top of ch 3.
