Section 1 – Spiderweb
Section 1: Coaster base
With Color A
Round 1: In a magic ring, ch 2, (does not count as a stitch), 8 hdc in magic ring. 8 hdc
- No need to join after each round; place a stitch marker.
- Move the marker after each round.
Round 2: 2 hdc in each around. 16 hdc
Round 3: *hdc in next, 2 hdc in next, repeat from * around. 24 hdc
Round 4: *hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next, repeat from * around. 32 hdc
Round 5: *hdc in the next 3 sts, 2 hdc in the next, and repeat from * around. 40 hdc
Round 6: *hdc in next 4 sts, 2 hdc in
next st, repeat from * around. 48 hdc
Set aside.
Section 2 – Spiderweb
With Color B
Round 1: In a magic ring, ch 1 (counts as first st), 4 sc and join with sl st to ch sp. 5 sc
Round 2: Ch 5 (counts as 1 dc + ch 2 sp), dc in same st as the ch sp, ch 2, (dc, ch 2, dc, ch 2) in each st around, sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch 5. 10 dc, 10 ch sps
Round 3: Ch 7 (counts as dc + ch 4), *skip ch sp, dc in next st, ch 4, rep from * to end round, sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch sp. 10 dc, 10 ch sps
Round 4: Ch 9 (counts as dc + ch 6), *skip ch sp, dc in next st, ch 6, rep from * to end round, sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch sp. 10 dc, 10 ch sps.

Joining
- Place the web lace on the base.
- Continue with color A.
- The next round is aimed at joining the sts in both sections together.
- Crochet around the 10 chain spaces and the sts in section 2.
- Evenly space the sts around the web lace and those left from round 6.
Round 1: Ch 1, 4 sc over both panels, *5 sc over next ch 10 sp and the corresponding 5 sts on the other panel, rep * until last ch 10 sp, 4 sc over the last st, join with a sl st to the beginning ch sp. 48 sc.
Option 1: Oval Scrubbie
Fold the panel into two and crochet over both halves.
Row 1: Ch 1, hdc across. 24 hdc
Do not cut yarn.
Handle
Chain 20, hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in the remaining chs, sl st to the first st from the handle.
Sl st in each of the remaining 24 sts to give a finished look.
Fasten off.
Sew in all ends
Option 3: Round scrubbie
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), (dc, ch 2, 2 dc), in the same st, *skip next 2 sts, sc in next st, skip next 2 sts, (2dc, ch 2, 2 dc), in the next st, rep from * around, join with a sl st to the beginning ch.
Fasten off.
Weave in all ends.
