Materials
* Worsted weight yarn
* G hook
* 15mm safety eyes
* Scrap piece of black yarn for mouth
* Polyfill
* Scissors
* Tapestry needle
Rnd 1: 8 SC in magic circle (8 sc)
Rnd 2: INC around (16 sc)
Rnd 3: *SC, INC* around (24 SC)
Rnd 4: *2 SC, INC* around (32 SC)
Rnd 5: *3 SC, INC* around (40 SC)
Rnd 6: *4 SC, INC* around (48 SC)
Rnds 7-14: SC around (48 SC)
Insert safety eyes in between rounds 10 & 11, 6 sets apart. Embroider mouth on round 13.
Rnd 15: *SC 4, DEC* around (40 SC)
Rnd 16: *SC 3, DEC* around (32 SC)
Rnd 17: *SC 2, DEC* around (24 SC)
Rnd 18: In BLO, SC around (24 SC)
Rnd 19: *SC 1, DEC* around (16 SC)
Rnd 20: *DEC* around (8 SC)
Finish off and use tail to cinch hole closed and sew securely in place.
Frill:
Holding jellyfish head upside down, join yarn to a free loop on round 18. Ch 2, 3 DC in same space, * 3 DC in each free loop all around head*, join to 1st. Fasten off and weave in end.
Plain Tentacles:
Chain 20, 3 SC in 2nd chain from hook, sl st in each remaining chain. Fasten off and sew to bottom of head.
Repeat 7 times
Heart tentacle:
Start with a magic circle, Chain 2, work 3 DC, 1 TR, Chain 2, 1 TR, 3 DC, Chain 2, sl st, Chain 20.
Fasten off and sew to bottom of head.
I placed the heart tentacle in the center first and then the plain tentacles around the center, 1 round away from the frill.
You can always add or take away tentacles!
