TOOLS:

US Size (H/8) 5.0 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Yarn Needle, Scissors, Blocking Materials (optional), Scarf Cuff or Shawl Cuff (optional-see image 3 above for an idea about how to wear a shawl cuff)

Gauge:

(unblocked) after 6 rounds worked, square should measure about 4.5” (11.5 cm)

Notes:

This shawl is worked in 3 sections – the center square is worked first in TURNED rounds. Then each front panel is worked off a specific side of the square.

FRONT PANEL 2

With Front Panel 1 to the right, attach yarn to the center ch-3 sp of the square where the first st of panel 1 is worked.

Repeat Panel 1 instructions working the beg dc in the same ch-3 sp where you attached yarn to. Do not fasten off after last row worked, continue to Border.

BORDER

Ch 1, sc evenly around entire shawl, place 1 st per every sc row, place 2 sts per every dc row and work (sc, ch 1, sc) at the bottom ch-3 corner space, join with a sl st.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

FINISHING

Wet block or steam block shawl (optional).
