Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, dc, dc dec.

R1: Ch 41, dc in 4th ch from hook. Dc in ea rem ch. Ch3, turn. (39 dc)
R2: Dc dec 2tog, (Ch 2, dc dec 3tog) across. Ch3, turn.
R3: Dc in same st as beg ch-3. 2dc in ch-2 sp. (Dc in dc dec, 2dc in ch-2 sp) across to last dc dec st. 2dc in last dc dec st. Ch3, turn.
Rs4-15: Rep R2 & R3.
R16: Rep R2.
R17: Dc in same st as beg ch-3. 2dc in ch-2 sp. (Dc in dc dec, 2dc in ch-2 sp) across to last dc dec st. 2dc in last dc dec st. Ch1, do not turn.
BORDER: Working down the side, place 2sc around the post of each stitch at the end of each row.
Ch 2 for corner. Sc bet posts of all dc stitches (except the corner stitches) on R1. Ch 2 for corner. Working back up other side, place 2 sc around the post of each stitch at the end of each row. Chain 2 for corner. Sc bet posts of all dc stitches (except the corner stitches) on R17. Join with a sl st.
