Materials
- Size 4 worsted weight cotton yarn. I used Plymouth Fantasy Naturale in the color 5228. I believe I used 90-100 yards.
- Size h/5mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Basketweave Crochet Dishcloth Pattern
Ch 36
Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from hook and in each st across. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1. Dc in the first st, *fpdc in the next 4 dc, bpdc in the next 4 dc* across until you reach the turning ch. Dc in the top of the turning ch. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1. Dc in first st, *fpdc in the next 4 dc, bpdc in the next 4 dc* across until there is one dc left in the row. Dc in this last st. Turn.
Rows 4-5: Repeat Row 3.
Row 6: Ch 1. Dc in the first st, *bpdc in the next 4 dc, fpdc in the next 4 dc* across until there is one dc left in the row. Dc in the last st. Turn.
Rows 7-9: Repeat Row 6.
Rows 10-13: Repeat Row 3.
Rows 14-17: Repeat Row 6.
Rows 18-21: Repeat Row 3.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
Even though this is simply a dishcloth, I do recommend blocking your work because this squishy stitch really warps the fabric.
