Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Green – 1½ oz, 75 yd, (45 g, 69 m) Yellow – ½ oz, 25 yd, (15 g, 23 m) Black – ½ oz, 25 yd, (15 g, 23 m)(Sugar ‘n Cream) Yarn Needle.

Crochet Hook: Sizes I-9 (5.50 mm).

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Special Stitches

Single Crochet Decrease: (sc dec): Draw up a lp in each of next 2 sts, yo and draw through 3 lps on hook.

DISHCLOTH

Row 1: (Wrong Side) With Green, ch 30, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [sc in next ch] across. (29 sc)

Rows 2-15: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (29 sc)

Row 16: Ch 1, turn, [sc dec] twice, [sc in next sc] across. (27 sc)

Row 17: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, sc dec. (26 sc)

Row 18: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (26 sc)

Row 19: (Cab) Ch 1, turn, sc in first 13 sc. Leave remaining sts unworked. (13 sc)

Rows 20-30: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (13 sc)

At the end of Row 30, DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging

Rnd 1: Ch 1, DO NOT TURN, evenly sc around tractor, working 3 sc in outer corners. Finish off and weave in ends.

Large Wheel

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 4; 11 dc in 4th ch from hook (skipped ch count as first dc); join with sl st to first dc.

Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as first hdc now and throughout), hdc in same st as joining, [2 hdc in next dc] around; join with sl st to first hdc. (24 hdc)

Rnd 3: Ch 2, hdc in same st as joining, hdc in next hdc, [2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc] around; join as before. (36 hdc)

Rnd 4: Ch 2, hdc in same st as joining, hdc in next 2 hdc, [2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 2 hdc] around; join as before. (48 hdc) Finish off leaving 12″ long end.

Rnd 5: With right side facing, join Black with sl st to any hdc, ch 2, hdc in same hdc, hdc in next 3 hdc, [2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 3 hdc] around; join as before. (60 hdc) Finish off leaving 12″ long end.

Small Wheel

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 4; 11 dc in 4th ch from hook (skipped ch count as first dc); join with sl st to first dc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each dc around; join with sl st to first sc. (24 sc) Finish off leaving 12″ long end.

Rnd 3: With right side facing, join Black with sc to any sc, [sc in next sc] around; join as before. (24 sc) Finish off leaving 12″ long end.

Finishing – use photo as guide

– With right side facing, using Black, sl st loosely across between Rows 19 and 20. Continue with sl sts around Cab. Finish off and weave in ends.

– With Yellow, sl st loosely across Tractor.

– Position Wheels, letting a little hang over. Using long ends, sew to dishcloth. Finish off and weave in all ends.
