Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker

Cozy measures 5 x 2¾” (12.7 x 7 cm).

GAUGE: 7 sts = 2” (5cm); 7 rows = 2” (5cm). CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.

Notes

1. Cozy is worked in a continuous spiral with Right Side always facing. Do not turn unless otherwise indicated. Use stitch marker to keep track of beginning of rounds. Weave in ends as you go.

2. Ribbing is worked in rows and joined to top of Cozy as work progresses.

COZY

Ch 9.

Round 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 6 chs, 3 sc in last ch, turn; working across opposite side of foundation ch, sc in next 6 chs, 2 sc in last ch – 18 sc.

Rounds 2-12: Sc in each sc around.

Round 13: Sc in each sc around, slip st in next sc.

Do not fasten off.

Ribbing

Ch 5.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 3 sc, slip st in next 2 sc of Round 13, turn – 4 sc.

Row 2: Sc in back loop of next 4 sc, ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Sc in back loop of next 4 sc, slip st in next 2 sc of Round 13, turn.

Rows 4-17: Repeat Rows 2-3, 7 times.

Row 18: Working in both back loops of Row 17 and free loops of Row 1, sc in each st across, slip st in top of Row 1. Fasten off.

FINISHING

Weave in ends
